After the last read, I was looking for a book I knew I would enjoy (or one that I guessed I would enjoy - you never know how things will turn out). This next read was a loan from my sister, who happened to visit just before I needed a new book to read. The author is also a three-peater on Another Year of Books.
It’s hard to believe it’s almost mid-September already. This year is flying by, am I right? I’m glad fall is approaching and I cross my fingers every day, hoping I won’t start sweating the minute I walk outside. It’s going to happen soon, I know it. (Again, fingers crossed.)
This post marks the first time Another Year of Books has covered a local author. This book was a gift from my aunt, who bought it at a book festival in Beaver. The author is from Beaver, the story takes place in Beaver, and having been born and raised there, I love Beaver. I also love Pride and Prejudice, particularly the 2005 film (I mean the hand stretch - come on!). Immediately, this book was off to a good start.
Before we left for a weeklong vacation, Amazon luckily had a “buy two, get one” sale on books. It was great timing for me, since I always like to take a few new reads with me. I love to read anytime - on my couch, on the deck, on the bus to and from work (or I did when I actually went into the office), but there is nothing like reading a book on vacation. It’s the best, especially when the book is a beach/summer read; it’s definitely convinent when the title of the book has the word…
