2020 Reads
This post marks the first time Another Year of Books has covered a local author. This book was a gift from my aunt, who bought it at a book festival in Beaver. The author is from Beaver, the story takes place in Beaver, and having been born and raised there, I love Beaver. I also love Pride and Prejudice, particularly the 2005 film (I mean the hand stretch - come on!). Immediately, this book was off to a good start.
Before we left for a weeklong vacation, Amazon luckily had a “buy two, get one” sale on books. It was great timing for me, since I always like to take a few new reads with me. I love to read anytime - on my couch, on the deck, on the bus to and from work (or I did when I actually went into the office), but there is nothing like reading a book on vacation. It’s the best, especially when the book is a beach/summer read; it’s definitely convinent when the title of the book has the word…
I try to do my best to keep up with authors that I like; meaning, I try to pay attention to when a new book is coming out. A week after this one came out, it was already at my house, waiting to be read on vacation. Why? If I enjoyed Kevin Kwan’s newest book half as much as I enjoyed the Crazy Rich Asians series, it would be a great read.
Welcome back to Another Year of Books! It’s been over a month since my last post about a recently read book. I’ve taken the past month to just relax, whether it was by re-reading some books I previously read, or by reading some corny romance novels I stumbled upon. Long story short, I didn’t have much to write home about. But I’m back! Don’t worry, more reads are coming soon.
Greetings, readers of Another Year of Books!
