I learned how to make macarons on Saturday. It was a magical experience. The class was three hours long and well worth every minute. We have already ate half of one box. By the end of the afternoon following, I almost fell asleep reading a book. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday, right?

I warn you now that to some, this book has adult topics.
Stella Lane spends her days analyzing what people will purchase next, to provide the “you might also like…” section of online shopping. She spends her nights in her white, pretty much empty apartment (minus the piano in her living room). Dating is not her forte. Having Asperger’s makes dating more difficult.
So Stella hires a male escort to show her the way. First for a night, then as a “practice” boyfriend. Michael Phan is the guy, or escort, for the job. He’s working in his family’s alteration shop during the day and escorting on Fridays to pay off his mom’s medical bills. His on-the-run father has left his family with huge amounts of debt and Michael, the eldest child, feels the responsibility.
When Michael accepts Stella’s offer, he shows her the world of dating. She shows him how having a criminal father doesn’t make him one.
Truthfully, this book was a super fast read. It was a good one to boost my read count. Would I recommend it? Ehh, probably not. It was a whole lot of sexy time and not a lot of other substance. Yes, at times, there was a good subplot, like Michael with his mother. Another was Stella interacting with her family and Michael’s. But those subplots are outweighed by the sex scenes (I warned you about the adult topics).
I read this book in one day. One single day. That’s how quick of a read it was. It reminds me of last year’s The Wedding Date. If romance novels are your thing, this one’s for you. If they aren’t, stay away. Unless of course, you are also trying to read 52 books in a year and are a little behind.
